How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at our Titan Chain Cable Chains on our 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. These chains are gonna be a roller style of chains which the dealer typically recommends, because they give you the most clearance in the back in the wheel well area. So, as far as that goes, it's what they recommend. But as far as longevity goes and using them over the course of a few seasons, it may not be the best choice. The reason why these chains might not last as many seasons is because it's made of a low carbon steel which isn't nearly as rust or corrosion resistant. more

Pewag Snox Pro Snow Tire Chains Review - 2022 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
How's it going It's Ethan at etrailer here, and today, we have our pewag Snox Pro Self-Tensioning Tire Chains on our 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. These tire chains are a solid entry level choice, they are diamond pattern, which gives you more coverage on the road, and they're a decent choice for inclement weather, including ice and snow. With the diamond pattern, you get more coverage of the tire, so you get a little bit more traction, and you also get less bumpiness compared to a ladder style chain. The links of the chains themselves are square, which is good on the flat side for biting into ice, and the way that they interlink with one another is also good for preventing snow clumping. The chains themselves are made of a manganese nickel alloy, which is gonna protect your chains for multiple seasons from rust and corrosion. The interlinks also have a protective coating that's just gonna protect your fingers when you're putting it on in the ice and cold conditions, so your hands don't get stuck to the actual chains themselves. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Low-Profile Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu we're gonna be test-fitting the Konic self-tensioning low-profile snow tire chains, part number TH00023103. When taking a look at these chains, the main use you're gonna get out of these is for those snow and ice situations, and a lot of that is because of the D-links and the diamond pattern with our tire chains here. If you wanted chains for white snow, you might wanna take a look at our other brands that have the rollers on them. One of the big bonuses about this tire chain system, it does have a self-tensioning system here, meaning as you drive it's going to self-tension and center around the tire so you don't have to worry about that, stopping and checking and make sure everything's working properly. Also it means you don't have to buy any aftermarket tensioners, as you would with other tire chains as well.These chains are designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, and they are compatible with antilock brake systems. They do come with plastic bumpers, which we haven't installed for demonstration purposes, that snap to the chains around the tire to help protect the rim. more

When trying to choose tire chains for your Chevrolet Malibu, one thing to consider is the area you live in. If you're living in an area that has mostly light snows, this is gonna be perfect for you because the diagonal shape and the rollers provide a smooth ride and also assist with effective starts and stops in light snows as well. If you're looking for something more with a heavy snow or heavy snow and ice, you may wanna look at the Titan chains D-link designs or their V-bar link designs as well. Another thing that sets this apart from most of the other tire chains that we have is it actually comes with the rubber tensioners to attach this to your vehicle, while others you would have to purchase separately. These chains are designed to work with wheel wells with limited clearance, so these are SAE-class S chains, and they are compatible with all Department of Transportation regulations in all states. more

These cable snow tire chains are going to be great for the occasional use on your Malibu, should the weather make a turn for the worst. They feature a ladder pattern, which is great for accelerating and breaking. They also have steel rollers which is going to give you adequate traction on light snow and ice. Compared to a link style, they're not going to give you the best traction, but they will provide you with a smoother ride. They're Class S chains. more

They're also gonna wear down a lot more evenly than a twist-link style, which means they're gonna last longer.They're our Class S chain. They're designed for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance.They're intended for on-road use only. Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2010 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to review and install the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1038. We'll be installing our tire chains on the tire size P225/50R18. Now we're going to start with our tire chain laid out. Here at the end of our chain we have our adjustable cable notches. This section is our cross chain and you can see we have our hardened steel rollers to provide that extra traction that's needed in those snowy or icy conditions. Where the cross chain meets the cables, you can see it has a hook section. We're going to make sure that that faces out away from the tire and the smooth section will face the tire so that we don't damage or dig into our tire. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Today on our 2005 Chevy Malibu, well be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW2016C. Well be using these in conjunction with the Glacier Rubber Adjusters for 16-to-20-inch rims, part number PW99. First well go ahead and take our chains and lay them out. Well make sure that the cross chain hooks are facing up or out away from the tire. Then well go ahead and take the center, lay it up across the top of the tire, evening up the chain from side to side, inside to out as we go down and around the tire. Then well move to the inside. more

Glacier V-Trac Snow Tire Chains Review - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Today on our 2005 Chevy Malibu well be test fitting the Glacier V-Trac cabled snow tire chain, part number PW1934V on tire size P215 60 R16. Our first step, well go ahead and lay out our tire chains. As we lay them out well make sure that the cross chain hooks are facing up, or out away from the tire. Now well go ahead and take the chain and drape it over the top of the tire and center it on the tire as we work our way down. Next well move to the inside of the tire. Well go ahead and take the cable eyelet, put it through and lock it into the hook. more
